EPICC Clinical Journal

The online EPICC Clinical Journal is a showcase for the graduate students who win EPICC’s Clinical Scholarship Awards. Here are the winning clinical papers, and consideration of some of the criteria they addressed. The Clinical Journal is intended to stimulate discussion about practice and theory, so please comment on the papers and the clinical issues they raise.

The guidelines for the two scholarship awards—the Holm and the Osman Prizes—are based on an actual intervention conducted under supervision in a practicum/field placement. The criteria reflect the elements of the clinician’s work with the client(s), from assessment forward, with emphasis on the selection of theory and its flexible application. Any graduate student from any school of social work is invited to submit a paper that meets the criteria, with an expectation of serious consideration for a cash award.
